Chatzivariti Winery is located in the PDO Goumenissa zone, one of the most beautiful vineyards in Greece, at an altitude that does not exceed 250 metres.
Evangelos Chatzivaritis and his wife Olga Iakovidou planted their first privately-owned vineyard, covering 5 hectares, in 1994. They now cultivate a total of 12 hectares according to the standards for organic farming, with the varieties Xinomavro, Negoska, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Roditis, Assyrtiko and Gewürztraminer.
The winery is housed in a practical modern building, surrounded by the vineyard. It was completed in 2007 and has a production capacity of 100,000 bottles. It includes a full production and bottling line and an aging cellar.
The company produces 7 labels (3 red, 3 white, 1 roze) and exports 50% of production to nine countries.
