Vaeni Naoussa Co-op was founded in 1983 by 330 vintners and wine producers in the PDO Naoussa vine-growing region of in order to make better use of their produce. In 1984, they built a fully-equipped winery with a total capacity of 8,000,000 bottles with production areas, a chemical analysis laboratory and a cellar.
At present, the Vaeni Naoussa Coop has 200 members, with a total of 200 hectares of vines, who cultivate Xinomavro – the main red grape variety in the PDO Naoussa region – as well as Syrah, Merlot and Roditis, to contribute to the production of high-quality wines with character and typicity. The cooperative also owns an experimental 2.2 hectare vineyard.
They produce a total of 18 wines, and are extending their significant export activity to 22 countries.
