Ktima Gerovassiliou was created in 1981 in Epanomi, Thessaloniki, by the oenologist Evangelos Gerovassiliou.
The region’s climate can be described as Mediterranean, with mild winters and hot summers, moderated by the sea breeze. The privately-owned vineyard covers 63 hectares, and the varieties cultivated are Malagousia, Assyrtiko, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Limnio, Mavroudi, Xinomavro, Mavrotragano, Syrah and Merlot.
The modern winery is surrounded by the vineyard and comprises three buildings, built in 1986, 2008 and 2013 respectively.
They house all the necessary modern equipment to produce quality wines, as well as the Gerovassiliou Wine Museum, which houses the owner’s collection of bottle openers and vine-growing and wine-producing tools.
The company produces 10 labels and exports wine to more than twenty countries.
